BCMG Free Public Education Class: Wildflower Gardening

  • 13 Aug 2015
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Broadway United Methodist Church, 309 E Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN 37804

For many years Master gardener Elaine Fields has groomed habitats for pollinators, including using native plants and wild flowers, and has been encouraging others to do so as well.

In this class, she will cover everything from the best way to manage a native plant and wildflower garden to what else is needed in the garden environment to attract and support pollinators.  In addition, she will present information on how to see the wild flowers and natives where they naturally grow, when they bloom, and resources for identifying them.  Elaine will also introduce everyone to the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge which is a nationwide challenge to provide habitats to help all of the threatened pollinators.
